Câu so sánh trong Part 5 có dạng: bốn đáp án là các dạng của một tính từ, như efficient, more efficient, most efficient, efficiently. Giống câu từ loại, bạn không cần dịch câu, chỉ cần tìm dấu hiệu: than, the, as… as, of all. Bài này hệ thống các dạng so sánh và từ nhấn mạnh hay ra.
So sánh hơn và so sánh nhất

Trạng từ đuôi -ly dùng more / most: more quickly, the most carefully. Một số trạng từ không có -ly so sánh như tính từ một âm tiết: faster, harder, earlier.
Dấu hiệu chọn dạng

Lưu ý: very không đi với so sánh hơn. ✗ very cheaper → ✓ much cheaper. Part 5 rất hay cho ô trống trước một tính từ so sánh hơn với các đáp án very / much / so / too.
So sánh với danh từ
- more / fewer + danh từ đếm được số nhiều: fewer complaints, more customers.
- more / less + danh từ không đếm được: less time, more information.
- as many / as much … as: We received as many orders as last month.
- Tránh lặp danh từ bằng that of / those of: The quality of our products is higher than that of our competitors.
Cụm so sánh hay gặp trong văn bản công việc
- as soon as possible – càng sớm càng tốt
- no later than + thời gian – chậm nhất là: no later than May 5
- more than / less than + số – hơn / ít hơn
- at least / at most – ít nhất / nhiều nhất
- rather than – thay vì
- the latest – mới nhất: the latest model
- as of + ngày – kể từ: as of June 1 (không phải so sánh, nhưng hay nhầm với as … as)

Xem đáp án và giải thích
- B – có than; fast 1 âm tiết → faster.
- C – in the city → so sánh nhất (không có the trước ô trống nên đáp án phải chứa the).
- B – nhấn mạnh so sánh hơn → much.
- A – as … as → dạng nguyên.
- B – so sánh kép; sau become cần tính từ.
- C – bổ nghĩa động từ completed → trạng từ, có than → so sánh hơn.
- B – complaints đếm được số nhiều, có than.
- B – of the two → the + so sánh hơn.
- B – no later than.
- C – nhấn mạnh so sánh nhất → by far.
Viết. So sánh hai nhà cung cấp bằng 3 câu: một câu so sánh hơn, một câu as … as, một câu so sánh nhất. Dữ liệu: A giá $5/sản phẩm, giao 7 ngày; B giá $5/sản phẩm, giao 4 ngày, đánh giá chất lượng cao nhất trong 5 nhà cung cấp.
